5 arrested; drugs, guns, money seized in Darlington

DARLINGTON, SC (WMBF) – Five people were arrested and drugs, guns, currency, and other items were seized after a search warrant was executed by the Darlington County Sheriff’s Office Drug Enforcement Unit Thursday.

The unit was assisted by the Florence Police Department Drug Enforcement Team, and executed a search warrant at in the 2300 block of Turnberry Road in Darlington Thursday, according to a Facebook post by the DCSO.

During the execution of the warrant, they seized televisions, guns, ammunition, a safe, machetes, computers, heroin, crack cocaine, pills, marijuana, needles, and U.S. currency.

According to authorities, the following individuals were arrested and charged:

-Christina Thomas, a 37 year old black female, of Backswamp Road Lynchburg, SC was charged with; trafficking heroin, possession of a weapon during a violent crime, possession with the intent to distribute cocaine base and possession of controlled schedule II narcotics.

-Frank Toney, a 29 year old black male of, Backswamp Road, Lynchburg, SC was charged with; trafficking heroin, possession of a weapon during a violent crime, possession with the intent to distribute cocaine base and possession of controlled schedule II narcotics.

-Morris Luke Nance, a 23 year old black male of, Red Top Road, Lynchburg, SC was charged with; trafficking heroin, possession of a weapon during a violent crime, possession with the intent to distribute cocaine base and possession of controlled schedule II narcotics.

-Maleeke Raheem Toney, a 17 year old black male of, Trinity Road, Lynchburg, SC was charged with; trafficking heroin, possession of a weapon during a violent crime, possession with the intent to distribute cocaine base and possession of controlled schedule II narcotics.

-Roosevelt Evans, a 29 year old black male of, Highway 15, Myrtle Beach, SC was charged with; trafficking heroin, distribution of cocaine, possession of a weapon during a violent crime, possession with the intent to distribute cocaine base and possession of controlled schedule II narcotics.

-Quanitis McFadden, will be charged with distribution of heroin relating to this case. He is currently being housed in Sumter Lee Detention Center on unrelated charges.
