Police searching for man connected to bank robbery on 48th Ave. North

HORRY COUNTY, SC (WMBF) – Horry County Police are looking for a man believed to be connected to the bank robbery that occurred at First Palmetto Savings Bank on 48th Avenue North around 1:11 p.m. Friday afternoon, according to a news release from Lt. Raul Denis of the Horry County Police Department.

A teller at the bank reported the man to be in his 40s, about 6-feet tall, skinny and wearing a grey sweatshirt, hat and sunglasses.

The man presented a note to the teller stating he had a gun and demanding money, according to the news release from the HCPD.

The man was given an undetermined amount of cash from the teller and when he left he was seen getting into a grey sedan of unknown make and model driving east on 48th Avenue North.

Luckily, no one was hurt during this incident.

    Two adults were taken to a hospital with minor injuries after a house fire on Main Street in Conway Tuesday. According to tweet from the Horry County Fire Department, firefighters from their department and the City of Conway Fire Department responded to the fire and brought it under control.
