2 men charged after video poker machines found in Bennettsville

BENNETTSVILLE, SC (WMBF) – Two men were charged and six illegal video poker machines were seized from a home in Bennettsville, according to a news release from the Marlboro County Sheriff’s Office.

James “Red” Mccoy and 57-year-old Robert Jenkins, both on Bennettsville, were charged by the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division for operating a gaming house and possession of video poker machines, MCSO officials stated.

Search warrants were conducted by the MCSO and SLED at Jenkins's home/business on Valley Dale Lane and at a home owned by Mccoy on Marshall Street. Six machines were seized in total and deemed illegal by SLED. This is the second time machines have been found on at the home on Marshall Street, according to MCSO.
