Below is a news release from Enroll America and the Affordable Health Care Coalition of Robeson County:

Enroll America and the Affordable Health Care Coalition of Robeson County announce their open enrollment kick-off breakfast and the first set of community enrollment events.

Members of the coalition are emphasizing the availability of financial help with premiums, in-person assistance at enrollment events, and information on new plans and new premium prices.  Members also want to let residents know that the fine for not having health insurance in 2016 is $695 or 2.5 percent of your annual income – whichever is greater.

The information breakfast starts at 8 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 3 at Southeastern Health's Community Health Education Center (C.H.E.C.) in Biggs Park Mall in Lumberton.  Get information about health insurance options under the Affordable Care Act, learn about enrollment events in your community and schedule your appointment for help in your neighborhood.
