Myrtle Beach Veterans Cookout to highlight 50th Anniversary of Vietnam War

MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) – The Ralph H. Johnson Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Charleston and the Myrtle Beach Veterans Affairs Clinic are hosting a free Myrtle Beach Veterans Cookout on October 28 from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the U.S. Army Reserve Center located across from the Myrtle Beach Veterans Affairs Clinic.

All Veterans and their families are invited to the event that will highlight the 50th Anniversary of the Vietnam War.

Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 925 will provide the Color Guard, the POW/MIA table ceremony, the Vietnam 50th Anniversary flag, posters, pins, soft drinks and more, according to a news release.

The Combat Veterans Motorcycle Association will be coordinating the food provisions and other event support.

The American Red Cross and several other area Veterans organizations will also be participating in the event.
