MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF)- WMBF News Anchor Lisa Gresci sat down with all of the candidates  running for the District 3 seat on Horry County Council. All five candidates were asked the same series of questions.  Ethan Leyshon is running for the seat as a Republican.

Ethan Leyshon is running as a Republican for the District 3 seat on Horry County Council.

As a veteran, Leyshon referenced his time in Iraq and says he know what it is like to complete a mission and he would make the issues of Horry County, his mission.

“I'm a man of my word. I'm a man of ethics. I've served in the sands of Iraq from November of 2007 to January of 2009. It was the greatest days of my life. I'm very proud of my service. That's what I'm looking to do now.  I'm serving my community in the only way that I can, well any way that I can at this moment in time,” Leyshon said.

Leyshon feels the biggest issues facing the county is the lack of public safety officials, and completing road projects and promised infrastructure. Leyshon used International Drive as an example.
