Person taken into police custody after attempted armed robbery at Walgreens in Myrtle Beach

MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) – A person was taken into custody by Myrtle Beach Police Tuesday afternoon in connection to an attempted armed robbery at the Walgreens at Kings Highway and 3rd Avenue South in Myrtle Beach.

According to police, the person that tried to rob the store using a knife was positively identified by the victim.

Police said nothing was stolen, no one was hurt and no weapons were found on the person who is in police custody.

The suspect was apprehended at 2nd Avenue North and Oak St. and has not yet been charged.

Police said they are bringing the suspect in for questioning.
