PAWLEYS ISLAND, SC (WMBF) - Midway Fire Rescue evacuated a woman and her dog Tuesday on Myrtle Avenue. Rescue crews went in with a small boat for the rescue.

Chief Michael Flemming with Pawleys Island Police said there is no damage to the roads and they are all open at this time, however there is a lot of beach erosion. All water has receded at this time.

Flemming doesn't expect tonight's tide to be as high as Tuesday morning. The tide was estimated at 7.2 feet and normally the tide is 5.5-5.8 feet high.

Normally flooding comes from the creek side after a high tide, so they expect flooding after Tuesday nights high tide around 9:30 p.m., according to Flemming.
