Laurinburg man wanted for pointing gun and demanding money

LAURINBURG, NC (WMBF) - The Laurinburg Police Department is looking for a man who is wanted for pointing a gun and demanding money, he is also considered to be armed and dangerous. 

According to police, Lamont Worth is wanted for robbery that took place on October, 5. Police statements say Worth went to the residence of the victim to the sale of a dirt bike. Once there, Worth produced a caliber handgun and pointed it at the victim demanding money, he then took $300 in cash from the victim. During the incident, Worth pointed his handgun at three other vicitms who left the residence. Worth fled the scene towards Washington Street area.

Worth is known frequently to Carver Street and Beta Street area, he also has ties to the Washington D.C. area and may have possibly fled the Laurinburg area, according to police.
