DILLON COUNTY, SC (WMBF) – One man was killed in a one-vehicle accident Saturday night around 11:20 p.m. on Road 30 in Dillon County, according to South Carolina Highway Patrol.

Dillon County Coroner Donnie Grimsley says 28-year-old Angelo Paige of Roland, North Carolina, died as a result of injuries sustained in the accident.

Lance Cpl. Hannah Wimberly said the 2003 Chevrolet SUV was travelling northbound on Road 30 near Grace Court when it went off the right side of the road, overcorrected, went off the left side of the roadway, struck a ditch and overturned.

The driver, the only person in the vehicle, sustained fatal injuries in the collision and was improperly wearing their seatbelt, according to SCHP.
