Some low, some high scores on this week's Restaurant Scorecard

(WMBF) – It’s that time of the week again for Restaurant Scorecard.

This week there were a lot of places that did very well in their health inspection, but there were a few who didn't make the grade.

Department of Health and Environmental Control inspectors gave Mi Mexico in North Myrtle Beach an 82. Food-contact surfaces were not cleaned or sanitized and food was not received at the proper temperature. Inspectors saw insects or rodents at the restaurant.

Old South Bar BBQ in the north strand got an 84. Points were deducted because handwashing sinks were not properly supplied and accessible. Utensils, equipment and linens were also not properly stored. Inspectors also found insects or rodents as well.

Chick-Fil-A in Surfside on Dick Pond Road got an 88 as well as Duck’s Night Club in North Myrtle Beach.

Fat Harold’s Beach Club in North Myrtle Beach received a 97 and Boll Weevil Café and Sweetery in Pawleys Island got a 99 this week.

Finally, Rose Farm Market in Longs got a perfect score.

“Integrity, common sense and Elvis have a lot in common with me. We’ve all left the building.” With that, Surfside Beach resident Betty Lowery stormed out of the Surfside Beach town council meeting Tuesday night after having submitted her resignation from the town’s Planning Commission. Her resignation followed that of Sandra Elliott who earlier had also resigned from the same commission.
