Police: 2-year-old girl found safe, still looking for man

MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) – The Myrtle Beach Police Department Facebook page states that 2-year-old Brooklyn Carter has been located and is safe.

Police say Johnathan Carter is still wanted and is being sought in this case. 

The MBPD Facebook page states that on Wednesday Carter took the child from the Coral Reef Resort in Myrtle Beach.

Police believe Carter may be traveling to the Charlotte, North Carolina area or the Spartanburg County area in South Carolina.

Carter may be traveling in a red 1995 Dodge Grand Caravan with the license plate SC LBQ232, according to the MBPD Facebook page.

Anyone having any information on the whereabouts of Johnathan, is asked to please call (843)-918-1382 and reference case number 15-022752.
