2 first responders surpass the call of duty by painting elderly man’s home

HORRY COUNTY, SC (WMBF) – During the morning hours of October 15, Firefighter and Paramedic Marc Perez along with Firefighter and EMT Chad Dubarr, responded to a call for an elderly man who had fallen off a ladder while both he and his neighbor were painting his home, according to the Horry County Fire Rescue Facebook Page.

According to Horry County Fire Rescue, Perez and Dubarr returned to the elderly man’s home, after transporting him to the Emergency Room and finished painting the last ten feet of his home. Perez and Dubarr completed painting the home while remaining in service and available to take another emergency call.
