CONWAY, SC (WMBF) – Habitat for Humanity of Horry County will break ground on their 125th home, on October 17, in the Habitat subdivision of Hope’s Crossing.

The future homeowner, a Conway Medical Center employee in the food service division, was welcomed into the Habitat for Humanity home ownership program in May 2014. The single mother of three daughters applied to the program because of mold issues and costly electrical bills in the home she was renting.

Being accepted into the program not only gives her affordable housing but the opportunity to provide a safe home for her children.

A blessing of the property will be held on October 17, at 8:00 a.m., at 140 Hope’s Crossing Court in Conway.

To volunteer for upcoming builds call Ashley West at (843) 650-8815 extension 8006 or email ashley@habitatmb.org.
