Georgetown Deputies going door to door helping citizens

GEORGETOWN, SC (WMBF) - Georgetown Sheriff Deputies will continue to provide additional services in areas that are affected by flooding. Deputies will check on citizens and go house to house.

In addition to maintaining routine patrols to answer calls, additional deputies will be patrolling areas impacted by floodwaters in Georgetown to ensure the safety of every citizen until further notice. 

Sheriff Deputies will be going door to door in Georgetown County checking citizens and assisting with any need they have. 

In addition, deputies will conduct foot patrols, boat patrols, ATV patrols and any other means of transportation to make contact with citizens in the following communities:

  • Big Dam
  • Swamp Area
  • Dunbar-Outland area
  • Browns Ferry-Amos Road Area
  • Horse Pen Creek area
  • Gapway Road
  • Kent Road
  • Indian Hut Roads
  • Black Water Loop area

Anyone who needs immediate assistance in these communities with an emergency or witnesses illegal activity is urged to call 911. For non-emergency questions, call the Georgetown County Sheriff's Office at 843-546-5102.
