MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) – The BIG Sweep 2, a community cleanup effort to focus on the Downtown Redevelopment Corporation (DRC) District, will take place from 8:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m., on November 14.

The DRC and the City of Myrtle Beach have come together to encourage, both residential and commercial property owners, to united to clean up highly visible public spaces in the downtown DRC district. A few of the public areas included in the clean-up effort are Plyler Park, Chapin Park and the Boardwalk.

The BIG Sweep 2 will provide volunteers with a free lunch, essential supplies needed for the cleanup and opportunities to win prizes. The City of Myrtle Beach will have dumpsters available in specific locations from November 9 through November 16 for large items that would not be collected during regular trash pickup.
