Cold front brings back the sunshine and a shot of cool air

MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) A cold front pushed off shore yesterday and will linger close to the coast through Monday and Tuesday keeping the clouds and a slight chance for rain. We'll start to see a little bit more sunshine each day through the week.

By Tuesday we turn our attention to the west where we are tracking our next cold front that is approaching. Rather than a front that brings more rain, this will be a mostly dry cold front. It doesn't have a lot of energy or moisture to work with. What it does have is drier and cooler air behind it.

Temperatures Tuesday will be in the upper 70's and by Wednesday we will see lower 70's for highs. Overnight lows by the end of the week could dip into the upper 40's for some!

This stretch of dry weather through the end of the week will be great for clean up efforts and also will be good news for our rivers. They will have a solid chance to recede through next week.
