GEORGETOWN, SC (WMBF) – Although cresting of the Black River has been seen, Georgetown County Public Information Officer Jackie Broach reports, Georgetown County has not seen any additional road closures or areas of concern since Friday night.

Georgetown County workers will be out Saturday morning to check closed roads and possibly reopen some roads.

All three emergency shelters, Andrews Recreation Center, Pleasant Hill Elementary and Beck Recreation Center in Georgetown, will remain open. A total of 21 people are currently being housed in those shelters, according to Broach.

No power outages have been reported.

Georgetown County will have a large emergency responder presence on the Black River to monitor the situation.
