UPDATED: High School Football Schedule as of 10/6

The excessive rain and flooding in the state has caused several changes to the high school football schedule moving forward. Many teams were not able to play their respective Week Six games, and while rain is gone, field conditions are also not in the proper shape. Below is an updated high school football schedule highlighting the changes to Week Six and Seven (originally scheduled Week Seven games not included):

Friday, October 9th
West Florence at Conway - moved to CCU's Brooks Stadium
Timmonsville at East Clarendon (Week Six game)

Saturday, October 10th
Myrtle Beach at Lake City 

Monday, October 12th
Timberland at Johnsonville

Tuesday, October 13th
Crestwood at Darlington, 6:00

Wednesday, October 26th
Mullins at Waccamaw

Friday, November 6th
Loris at Marion
Johnsonville at Lake Marion

    Four former employees of the Marlboro County Sheriff’s Office and Marlboro County Detention Center have filed lawsuits in federal court against Sheriff Charles B. Lemon alleging they were fired on the basis of race. Raymond M. Hall, Billy Wade Cheek, Ann White and Earl L. Hood all filed lawsuits on Dec. 17 and Dec. 18, 2017 alleging Sheriff Lemon, who is black, fired them because they are white shortly after he was voted sheriff in Jan. 2017.
