HARTSVILLE, SC (WMBF) – The Robinson Nuclear Plant wants to reassure the public that there are no concerns regarding the dam at Lake Robinson in Hartsville, according to Senior Communications Consultant Charles Ellison.
He says recent extreme weather has raised concerns regarding dam stability and lake levels in South Carolina.
Duke Energy will continue to monitor the dam, according to a news release from Robinson Nuclear Plant.
Ellison says lake levels are being managed analogously with regulatory requirements through the controlled release of water.
The Robinson Nuclear Plant is working alongside local emergency management officials to ensure everyone is equipped and aware of the situation.
