Victim robbed at gunpoint in Surfside, four charged with armed robbery

SURFSIDE, SC (WMBF) – Surfside Beach Police Officers responded to River City Café Sunday, September 27 morning in reference to reports of an armed robbery.

Two victims told police they were exiting the business as they were approached by a male suspect and robbed at gunpoint, they also said several items were taken. Investigation from Surfside Beach Police and Myrtle Beach Police led them to identify five individuals involved in the robbery. 

Police said four suspects have been located and arrested and charges on the fifth suspect are pending. They are facing one count of kidnapping and one count of armed robbery.  

  • Dominique Andrews, 18-years-old from Surfside
  • Brandon Jordan, 19-years-old from Garden City
  • Daishon Green, 19-years-old from Myrtle Beach 
  • Jordan Powell 17-years-old from Myrtle Beach (also charged with possession of a weapon during a violent crime)    

Chief Rodney Keziah said this investigation is still ongoing at this time.

According to a report released by GCSO, a 30-year-old man was wounded around 5 a.m. Sunday morning and transported to the hospital for treatment.  Anyone with information is asked to contact the Georgetown County Sheriff’s Office at (843)-546-5102.
