    A Myrtle Beach man is accused of biting a police officer Sunday night after reportedly stealing a sign that belonged to the city. Major Adam Bellamy, 64, is charged with trespassing, assault while resisting arrest, threatening the life of a public official and simple larceny.

The temperature is actually coming from a tool called a "thermistor."
