MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) – A casting company is holding an open casting call this weekend in Myrtle Beach to find a 10 to 13-year-old boy to play the son of actor Josh Brolin in an upcoming major motion picture.
"No acting experience is necessary," explains Lisa Mae Fincannon, Casting Director on the project. "We are looking for very real, southern young talent who have a gift for telling stories and being themselves in front of the camera…a great sense of humor helps as well! Jaden (our 10-13 year old boy) is confident and considers himself to be pretty cool, while having a 6th grade real boy quality. He is supposed to be bonding with his father on a hunting trip, but Jaden wants to do anything but!"
The film will be shot in the South, stars Josh Brolin and Danny McBride, and will be directed by Jody Hill, who also directed Eastbound & Down, the HBO comedy series which filmed some episodes in Myrtle Beach. The casting company states they are looking for a young lead actor for the role.
The casting call will take place at the Marriott Resort at Grande Dunes on Sunday, October 4 from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m., and you are asked to bring a recent photo if you have one.
