Semi-automatic fired in Darlington home-invasion; three men charged with attempted murder

DARLINGTON COUNTY, SC (WMBF) – The Darlington County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to a home invasion call on West Old Camden Road in the Hartsville area of Darlington County Monday night after three suspects entered a home with a semi-automatic hand gun and one shot was fired.

According to DCSO, the suspects entered the home armed with the semi-automatic and intentions of robbing the victim of money and marijuana.

Reports say, the victim was assaulted, and there was a struggle over the gun and a shot was reported to be fired inside the victim’s residence.

Three suspects were arrested Monday and charged with the following:

  • Daniel Harrison Wallace, 23-year-old male of Hartsville, SC, was charged with armed robbery, burglary first-degree, attempted murder, possession of weapon during commission of a violent crime, possession of a weapon by convicted felon, criminal conspiracy and petit larceny. 
  • Ricky Jerry Wallace, 22-year-old male of Patrick, SC, was charged with armed robbery, burglary 1st degree, attempted murder, possession of weapon during Commission of a violent crime, criminal conspiracy and petit larceny. 
  • Jerry Levi Oneal, 22-year-old male of Hartsville, SC, was charged with armed robbery, burglary 1st degree, attempted murder, possession of weapon during commission of a violent crime, criminal conspiracy and petit larceny. 

All three suspects are awaiting a bond hearing at the Darlington County Detention Center, according to DCSO.

According to the DCSO, the victim sought medical attention at a local hospital.
