Planned weekend events rescheduled due to wet weather

MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) – Wet weather conditions have forced some outdoor events planned for this weekend in the area to be rescheduled.

The free Painted Man concert and Careteam Plus Health Fair will now be held on Saturday, October 24, in Plyler Park beside the SkyWheel, according to a news release from Careteam Plus. The music will start at 10 a.m. and the free health screenings will be conducted from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Ripley's Entertainment, LandShark Bar and Grill and Surf Shack, Boardwalk Coffee House and Shark Attack Adventure Golf with Hammerhead Grill will host games for adults and children. The First Annual Yoga Day has been rescheduled for Saturday, October 3, according to the Tidelands Health website. The event will begin at 11 a.m. at the Pelicans Ballpark. Individuals 12 years and older at any level of fitness are invited to participate in the event. Onsite registration will begin at 10 a.m. and a $6 donation is encouraged to benefit the United Way of Horry County. Brew at the Zoo at Brookgreen Gardens has been rescheduled for Sunday, September 27, from 5:30-8:30 p.m., according to the Brookgreen Garden website. Guests will delight in tastings of more than 30 regional and national craft beers, entertainment by Bullfrog and it includes a signature tasting glass. The Surfside Beach Car Show will now be on Saturday, October 31, according to the Surfside Beach website. All classic cars and trucks, any class and any year, are welcome, the Myrtle Beach Car Club website states. Registration is $20 per vehicle and registration will be from 9 a.m. until noon. The event will include top 50 trophies, giveaways, a 50/50 raffle and many vendors.  Trophies will be awarded to the winners at 2 p.m.
