NORTH MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) – A North Myrtle Beach man is wanted by police after allegedly stealing a 39-inch television from an acquaintance and selling it at a pawn shop.

Jerod Lee Kernen, 31, has two outstanding warrants for burglary and petit larceny, according to a release from the City of North Myrtle Beach.

On September 10, Kernen allegedly entered a victim’s home while they were out at work, stole a 39-inch flat screen television, and then sold it to a pawn shop the same day, according to the police report. When police called and asked him about it, he denied ever owning a television.

Kernen had previously been convicted of burglary three times, the report states.

Kernen is described by police as a 6-foot-tall white male, 160 pounds in weight, who resides in North Myrtle Beach.

Anyone with information on Kernen’s whereabouts is asked to call NMB Department of Public Safety at 843-280-5511.
