WMBF FIRST ALERT FORECAST: A relatively dry day ahead but lots of rain to come

Very wet finish to the week...

An area of low pressure near the Outer Banks of North Carolina will slowly drift toward the SC coast bringing a very good chance of rain by the end of the week.

Wednesday will feature and sky full of clouds with a peak of sunshine here or there. Temperatures across the area will be in the upper 70s to right at 80 for everyone. Although we don't have a high chance for rain today we can't rule out the threat for a shower or sprinkle at any time.

The bulk of the rain from the low pressure system is going to be moving onshore through the day Thursday and through Friday and Saturday as well. It's a slow mover so be ready for a few days of dreary weather. The clouds will however keep our temperatures constant into the upper 70s for highs and mid to up 60s for lows.

We finally start to see improvements by the end of the weekend into early next week with clouds slow to clear out.
