FLORENCE, SC (WMBF) – The Florence Fire Department responded to a structure fire at the 900 block of W. Evans St. at 3:10 a.m. Tuesday morning. Crews reported damage and heavy fire at the rear of the building.
Multiple departments responded, one fire crew began to extinguish the fire and another crew entered the building searching for possible occupants.
Battallion Chief Kenneth Carr said the rear portion of the business was heavily damaged, and a vehicle parked at the rear of the building was also damaged.
The FDD had the fire under control in approximately 30 minutes.
Carr said the cause of the fire is undetermined but is not believed to be suspicious and no injuries were reported.
