MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) – On September 25, from 3:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. and September 26, from 12:00 p.m. until 3:30 p.m., 707 Gun Shop and 707 Indoor Shooting Range in Myrtle Beach will host a PTR Industries weekend event where the new South Carolina Commemorative Model 32 7.62x39 Rifle will be unveiled.

In 2014 PTR Industries, a firearms manufacturing firm, moved from Connecticut to Aynor into a plant five times the size of their old building.

The company’s move made a positive impact on Horry County’s economy by generating more higher-wage jobs for locals.

In February of this year, we reported PTR Industries was rehiring positions it had previously cut the summer prior, due to the gun industry getting stronger.

The two-day event will give attendees the opportunity to meet Pro-Second-Amendment Politicians and the PTR Family as well as shoot and handle a variety of PTR Products free of charge.

We'll make it to the 90s again at the beach and the middle 90s inland. With temperatures a degree or two cooler than the last several days, no heat advisories are in effect, but the heat index will still climb to between 100 and 104. The afternoon and evening will see just a 30 percent chance of a stray shower or storm.
