FLORENCE COUNTY, SC (WMBF) – One man was arrested on criminal sexual conduct with a minor charge after making arrangements to meet via social media contact, according to the South Carolina Attorney General.
SC Attorney General Alan Wilson announced the arrest of 21-year-old Jarvis Quadry Dubose of Effingham, South Carolina on one charge in connection to sexual exploitation of minors.
The City of Florence Police Department, a member of the state's Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force made the arrest, according to a press release from the Attorney General Office.
The release also says Dubose met the victim through social media, made arrangments to meet in person and then engaged in sexual activity with the minor.
Dubose was arrested on September 18, 2015. He is charged with one count of Criminal Sexual Conduct with a Minor, second degree, a felony offense punishable by up to twenty 20 years imprisonment and Sex Offender Registry status.
The case will be prosecuted by the Attorney General's Office.
