MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) – The City of Myrtle Beach Police Department is currently hiring for a Detention Officer. Several job duties are required for this position such as: prison control, computer knowledge, emergency calls and more.
- Detention Officer- Police Department. Oversees prisoners and assists the public; takes complaints, accident and incident reports. Operates 911 and C.A.D. for all emergency calls with required related work. Requires general knowledge of the methods and practices of prisoner control, related laws and knowledge of typing and computer operations. Must have high school or equivalent, clerical, computer or business experience, be 21 years old to comply with SC Law Enforcement Council entrance requirements and possess a valid driver’s license.
