MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) After a warm and relatively dry weekend, things are about to change. A cold front off to our west is going to be approaching the Pee Dee and the Grand Strand throughout the day on Monday. It won't bring heavy rains to the area (which we could use) but more so some light showers through the evening and overnight hours into Tuesday.
Another thing that will be noticeably different is the temperatures. Highs were hovering around 90 for some of us this weekend and through this entire week temperatures will struggle to make it to the mid 80's for highs.
Rain chance will be at the highest overnight Monday into Tuesday and then once again Thursday through the beginning of the weekend as we see the front stall out and bring constant moisture into the area. Have an umbrella handy this week - you will most likely use it at some point.
Another noteworthy tidbit, the official start to Autumn is on Wednesday and summer will be over and done will. Enjoy these last few days!
