LORIS, SC (WMBF) – Canadian-based manufacturer, Accent Stainless Steel, broke ground on their new 50,000 square foot facility, their first American headquarters, in Loris Commerce Park, on September 17.
Accent Stainless Steel's $3.1 million investment will bring 65 new manufacturing jobs, averaging $22 per hour, to Horry County.
Chief Operating Officer for Accent Stainless Steel, Riemerschmid von der Heide said, "We are proud to bring growth to Loris and Horry County. We believe a local talent and local job pool is essential. The investment is just the beginning, the journey has just started and together we have the opportunity and obligation to set this new facility up for sustainable success."
The new headquarters is expected to have an immense impact on Horry County's economy.
Mark Lazarus, Chairman of Horry County Council said, "Accent Stainless Steel's decision to build their headquarters in Horry County represents a significant opportunity that our community has to attract foreign investment in the manufacturing industry."
