MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) – Police have released a description and sketch of the suspect who allegedly robbed two women of their purses at gunpoint at Broadway at the Beach earlier this month.

Police describe the suspect as a white male, aged 30 to 40, about 6 feet tall, with a light-colored beard who was last seen in an older model SUV.

Officers with the Myrtle Beach Police Department responded to Broadway at the Beach on the night of Sunday, September 13 in reference to an armed robbery call involving two females who had their purses stolen at gun point, police say.

According to reports, the first victim told police she was returning to her car by the parking lot near Margaritaville. When the suspect approached her and the second victim, he presented a gun and told both victims to give him their purses while the gun was pointed at them.

Reports also say, both of them gave the man their purses. He then got into a vehicle and fled the scene.

Police say, a second witness said she did not see any of altercation, but did see a vehicle leaving the scene.

Anyone who knows the identity of the suspect is asked to contact MBPD at 843-918-1382 and reference incident number 15-020873.
