HORRY COUNTY, SC (WMBF) – Habitat for Humanity of  Horry County, local churches and non-profit organizations in the Grand Strand area will come together, in the Carolina Forest Community Church parking lot, to help build two homes for local families in need, on September 11, from 1:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. and, September 12, from 7:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m.

In a press release, Habitat for Humanity of  Horry County says they are excited to have so many from the community come together to support the vision of a world where everyone has a safe, decent place to lay their head at night and hopes that the event will motivate more companies to give back to their community.

Carolina Forest Community Church is located at 1381 Carolina Forest Blvd in Myrtle Beach.

We'll make it to the 90s again at the beach and the middle 90s inland. With temperatures a degree or two cooler than the last several days, no heat advisories are in effect, but the heat index will still climb to between 100 and 104. The afternoon and evening will see just a 30 percent chance of a stray shower or storm.
