Suspect robs Myrtle Beach gas station of $25, report says

MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) – A man robbed the Kangaroo Mart on Oleander Drive early Thursday morning and made off with just $25, according to a Myrtle Beach Police Report.

Officers responded to the gas station at 3791 Oleander Drive at about 4 a.m., and spoke to the clerk, who said a man entered the store and asked her to open the register. He then walked around the counter, pulled the drawer from the register, and removed the $25 inside. The clerk said it appeared that the suspect knew how to operate a cash register, and never brandished a weapon.

The suspect then left the store, and another witness said the suspect exited very nonchalantly.

The suspect was described by witnesses as a black male with should-length dreadlocks with a thin build, wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, black and white checkered pants, and a black and white mask.
