HORRY COUNTY, SC (WMBF) – After a nearly year-long investigation, Drug Enforcement Unit agents executed a search warrant in the Forestbrook community, arrested two men, and confiscated heroin, cocaine, marijuana, and 10 firearms.
15th Circuit DEU Deputy Commander Bishop says the two men, ages 26 and 37, are each being charged with the following:
- possession with intent to distribute cocaine
- possession of a weapon during a violent crime
- three counts of possession of a stolen hand gun
- two counts of trafficking heroin
- possession with intent to distribute marijuana
The names of the men are not being released at this time because doing so might hinder a larger investigation, Deputy Commander Bishop explained.
After receiving tips about criminal activity, 15th Circuit DEU agents have been investigating the suspects since October 2014, which led to the bust on Steeplechase Drive, located off Whatuthink Road in Forestbrook, according to Deputy Commander Dean Bishop.
DEU made purchases from the suspects as part of the investigation, and executed a search warrant Tuesday at a home on Steeplechase Dr., Bishop said. Two men were arrested, and agents confiscated over 70 grams of heroin, 6 grams of cocaine, 6.3 grams of marijuana, and 10 firearms, three of which were reported stolen.
Both suspects live in the home on Steeplechase Drive.
