The excitement is building for the Labor Day Weekend. And we are so lucky to have so much going on in our communities. The big one: The Southern 500, it is back running on the holiday weekend where so many say it belongs. And the track tells us, ticket sales are great.
People are flocking to the Grand Strand to enjoy the last of summer and the events including Beach, Boogie and BBQ festival and Coastal Uncorked.
And, The Myrtle Beach Chamber kicked off 60 more days of summer to continue to attract tourists and boost our economy through the fall.
A lot of this is being fueled by falling gas prices. South Carolina has the lowest gas prices in the nation, which is great for us and local businesses.
And that means a lot of people will be out: On the road, on the beach, at events and dining out. That's great.
Consider This: Let's enjoy the crowds and the day off. Let's celebrate Labor Day like we should, to recognize the achievements and hard work that the people in our community do every day.
