MBPD searches for shooter after man gets shot in parking lot

MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) – Myrtle Beach Police are currently searching for a shooter after a man was shot in the leg around 11:30 p.m. Wednesday night, according to Lt. Joey Crosby of the Myrtle Beach Police Department.

According to Lt. Crosby, the shooting happened in the parking lot of the beachwear store at 1900 N. Kings Hwy. 

Sgt. Hull says waterfront beach police responded and are currently looking for that suspect. 
No clear description was given, other than being described as a black male. 

Sgt. Hull said the person's wounds appear to be non-life threatening, and that person was taken to Grand Strand Medical Center. 

The MBPD is still investigating to identify a suspect.

    A fire at Heavenly Grace Ministries Church in the Myrtle Beach area just after midnight Wednesday has been deemed suspicious, according to officials. Horry County Fire Rescue responded to the church on Peachtree road at 12:13 a.m. Wednesday, according to an HCFR news release.
