MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) - Officers with the Myrtle Beach Police Department responded to an armed robbery call involving a suspect that threatened the victim with a knife.
Upon arriving officers spoke to the victim who said that while he was sitting in the area of 505 9th Ave. N, he was approached by the suspect. He said that the suspect told him "let me get that money" then went inside of his shirt pocket, grabbed his wallet then put his wallet back and took his debit card.
He also said, the suspect then placed a knife cutter to his throat and told him that if he did not tell him the pin number he would kill him.
The victim said that after he told him the pin number, the suspect left walking towards the Blvd. to use his card at the ATM by the Zipline. The victim said that shortly after, the suspect came back, threw the card at him and told him "you owe me $40 dollars and yelled a profanity." The victim then said the suspect left the area on his bicycle last seen headed towards 9th Ave. N and Oak St.
The victim further stated that he encountered the suspect a week prior to the incident where he took $100 from him.
