A stationary front will remain stalled across our area through the end of the week keeping the risk of showers and storms in the forecast especially for the Grand Strand. After a very wet day yesterday for a lot of us yesterday we have another day of rain ahead of us. Your typical afternoon storms are in the forecast today. Highs will make it up to about 86 on the beach and 89 to near 90 inland with high humidity. Slightly drier conditions as you head inland.
The threat for rain continues into this weekend with the stationary front finally moving out by the end of the weekend. Once that moves out we continue to see the threat for typical summer-like thunderstorms each afternoon.
We continue to closely watch Tropical Storm Erika, but it is way too early at this point to determine whether or not it will be a threat to our area.
