WMBF FIRST ALERT FORECAST: More thunderstorms possible this afternoon

WMBF FIRST ALERT FORECAST: More thunderstorms possible this afternoon

Unsettled Pattern Continues...

A stationary front will remain stalled across our area through the end of the week keeping the risk of showers and storms in the forecast.

Some of us woke up to some rain and humid conditions and others woke up to mostly clear skies. That's what most of us will see today as well. Pockets of rain and thunderstorms will pop up this afternoon but also areas of sunshine will be around. Keep the rain gear handy throughout the day and the rest of the week.

The stalled front brings the threat for showers and storms into the area through the end of the week. Luckily were on the leeward side of the front so our temperatures are going to stay very steady in the mid 80s along the coast and upper 80s inland. We finally dry out by this weekend and will expect mainly sunny skies to infiltrate the area and remain in the forecast through next week.

We continue to closely watch Tropical Storm Erika, but it is way too early at this point to determine whether or not it will be a threat to our area.
