MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) – The South Carolina Department of Transportation will be working on road repairs on Robert Edge Parkway in September, and detours will be in place.
The (SCDOT) has contracted for repairs to happen on Robert Edge Parkway in North Myrtle Beach. The repairs are scheduled to take place from September 8-Sept. 30.
The contract will focus on repairs to the bridge approach slab on the west side of the Intracoastal Waterway.
According to SCDOT, September 8 the eastbound lanes on Robert Edge Parkway from Highway 17 to beyond the bridge will close for a period of about two weeks.
Motorists should be prepared to adjust their travel plans.
