MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) - Emergency crews responded to a call Saturday morning regarding reported tire tracks leading towards a pond in Pawleys Island.

Doug Eggiman with Midway Fire Rescue says, at 6:38 Saturday morning crews received a call of a possibly submerged vehicle in a pond near Willbrook Boulevard. He says the tire tracks ran across the street, took out a sign, and crossed some of the golf course green leading into a pond.

Eggiman says there is no evidence of a towed vehicle or foot prints.

Divers searched the area Saturday as a precaution. Midway Fire Rescue, Georgetown County Sheriff’s Office, and South Carolina Highway Patrol assisted in the search, according to Eggiman.

Georgetown County Sheriff's Office says the scene was cleared up and no vehicles were found.
