NORTH MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) – Hundreds of people were evacuated from the Crescent Keyes Hotel Tuesday night after a dryer fire started on the 6th floor, according to the North Myrtle Beach Fire Department.
Chief Garry Spain says no one was injured and that they are slowly letting guests back into the hotel.
Due to water damage, people are not being allowed back on the 6th floor. Guests are being relocated to different rooms.
NMB Fire responded to the call around 11:00 p.m.
South Ocean Boulevard was closed between 19th Avenue South and 21st Avenue South due to fire personnel in the area, according to North Myrtle Beach Department of Public Safety.
