LUMBERTON, NC (WMBF) – The Lumberton Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying two men suspected of robbing McNeill’s Jewelry Store inside Biggs Park Mall on July 24.

Detective Charles Leavitt says one of the suspects distracted the sales person while the other grabbed a tray of rings from inside the display counter. After, the second suspect placed the rings inside a plastic shopping bag and exited the store; the first suspect then spoke to the salesperson briefly, before he exited the store.

Suspect #1 is a black male, wearing a grey or tan t-shirt and red basketball type shorts, with a black colored ball cap. The suspect reportedly stands 6 feet 2 inches tall, weighs approximately 200 pounds and has burn scars on his lower arms, according to a news release from LPD.

Suspect #2 is a black male, seen in the photo wearing a blue colored button up short sleeve shirt, blue jeans, and a red and blue colored ball cap. The suspect is approximately between 5 feet 8 inches and 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighs between 160-180 pounds.  The subject possibly wears glasses, according to a news release from LPD.

If you have any information in reference to these men, please contact Det. Charles Leavitt, at (910)-671-3845.
