Presidential candidate Kasich to visit Myrtle Beach Monday

MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) –  Ohio Governor John Kasich will visit Myrtle Beach on Monday at Horry Georgetown Technical College.

The event will be held in the Thomas Maesar Auditorium. Doors open at 4:30, and the program begins at 5:00 p.m.

Hosts will include: APPS South Carolina Chapter, the honorable Mike Rogers, former Chairman, House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence, and the APPS SC Advisory Board Members.

Kasich has served as an Ohio State Senator beginning when he was 26, the youngest person ever to be elected to that office. Later, he ran for and won a seat in the US House of Representatives, also for Ohio. Following his service in the House, Kasich took a break from active politics to host a Fox News talk show from 2001 to 2007, then in 2010, jumped back into the fray with his greatest political accomplishment to date: He was elected the 69th Governor of Ohio, and remains in that role today, according to his website.

This event is free, but you must have a ticket.
