Police: Man wanted for criminal sexual conduct with minor arrested

ATLANTIC BEACH, SC (WMBF) – Horry County Police officers have arrested the suspect allegedly involved in criminal sexual conduct with a 14-year-old female.

According to Atlantic Beach Police Chief Tim Taylor, Joey Floyd was arrested around 5:30 p.m. in Longs on Thursday, August 27, after a short-foot chase.

Floyd is charged with criminal sexual conduct with a minor and should be booked into J. Reuben Long Detention Center Thursday evening.

Police say the victim was asleep in her bed Saturday afternoon, woke up and the suspect was having sex with her.

The incident took place in Atlantic Beach on 31st Ave., according to Police.
