Suspect arrested nearly 2 years after victim was reportedly bound and robbed

MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) – A 29-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a robbery that happened in Myrtle Beach nearly two years ago. The victim reported that he was tied up at his home and robbed by three men.

Quinton Lenard Brown was arrested Thursday on charges of common law robbery, strong arm robbery, kidnapping and burglary, in connection with in an incident that happened on Columbia Drive on September 26, 2013, according to Myrtle Beach Police records.

On that date, Myrtle Beach Police found a 68-year-old man tied up and honking his truck's horn; he told them he had been bound and robbed by three men, according to the Myrtle Beach Police report. He told officers that at about 4:50 a.m., he heard a knock at the door. One of the three men at the door knew his name, the report states, so he opened up, and they pushed their way inside.

They stole about $1,000 from his pockets, two phones, his wallet, and his keys before leaving, the report states. The victim was able to get his feet free, walked to his truck, and began honking until help arrived.
