CONWAY, SC (WMBF) – Officers with the Conway Police Department responded on Sunday to eight reported break-ins on Rosehaven Drive in Conway.

According to the incident reports from the CPD, on August 9, seven of the incidents were for breaking and entering into automobiles (breaking into motor vehicle or tanks, pumps, where fuel, lubricants stored) and one was for second-degree burglary.

There was no evidence of forced entry at seven of the incidents; at one incident there was a large brick-shaped mark on the passenger side window of the victim’s automobile.

The victim at this incident stated before he left for work around 4:45 a.m., he had observed a white truck leaving the area.

Seven vehicles showed signs of having been rummaged through, as did the buildings involved in the second-degree burglary incident.

A Taurus 9mm handgun loaded with 12 rounds of Hornady Critical Defense 9mm Luger rounds was stolen from the middle console of one of the victim’s vehicles.

Other items stolen from the incidents included vehicle registration, clothing, CDs, sunglasses, and other miscellaneous items, the reports state.

Of the seven vehicles that were processed for fingerprints, only four latent prints were recovered from the rear passenger cargo window on one of the vehicles.

If you or anyone you know has any information regarding these incidents, please call the CPD immediately at (843)-248-1790.
